Dying arborvitea

To All:
We have approx. 20 arborvitae at 25'-35' tall that are dying from bottom up & the inside out. Dead growth starts at the bottom and spreads out to all branches from ground level up. Cannot see any bore holes, maybe a slight canker at base of branch where it meets trunk; but doesn't appear multiple places. The wall of 30 arborvitae trees blocks out neighbors and road. Please give any HELP or knowledge on this. Don't want to lose the beauty and purpose of these trees. Thanks, K.
