: I have a large lawn (1 acre) and have had an armadillo rooting holes in it for the last three years. Does anyone know how to get rid of this nocturnal pest?

Armadillos damage lanws by digging up grass to feed on insects, like grubs. Lawn grubs from an infestation of pest beetles attract them. Removing their food supply usually causes armadillos to go away. Apply a pest-beetle control to the lawn. I think that Scotts makes a product specifically made to destroy grubs in a granular form. Check the garden center.
