Just about 3 weeks ago I purchased a beautiful butterfly bush about 5 ft. high to put on my balcony that receives the southern sun. I repotted with Miracle Gro potting soil, a few rocks on the bottom, a hole on the bottom of the look alike clay pot(feather light version), and witnessed the plant with a couple swallowtail butterflies on it. Now I notice it's budding, but the leaves are turning brown and falling off. Have I over watered? I noticed some water sitting in the bottom of the catch dish of the huge pot? I don't want to lose my plant! Please tell me what I should do? I live in the suburbs of Reston and our temperatures have been ranging from 82 to 98.
