Follow up to m/f flowers. The female flower has a bulb(ovary) in the middle of the flower surrounded by the petals which will become the berry. The male has no obvious bulb, but four stamens (male sex organs) that rise up out of the flower. Once you see it it will be obvious. I have seen these bloom mainly in late march to aprildepending on where you live (growing zones). Sometimes some plants will bloom later, but I think they react to what time of the year it is (flowering is a factor of temp and light) Feel free to email me directly for more info. I have a link that show the fremale flowers on the left and males on the right.
