: I have two burning bushes on the east side of my house. They have very few leaves but green stems. They are suppose to get full but seem to grown up and now fullness. Do you know what is wrong with them? Also, my pointellas are flat? I have the white ones and they don't seem to grow upward but outward?

Hi Lori,

Your problem with your burning bushes could be several things, one of which could be not enough sun. Is it possible that they haven't gotten consistant water or they were rootbound when you planted them and you didn't or couldn't loosen the roots? Take a look at this site and see if it's helpful.

For your potentilla, it could be possible that you have a prostrate variety. There are hundreds of potentillas. Do you know the botanical name? If so, you could go to www.google.com and put the name in quotes like this: "Potentilla fruticosa" - you can also click on 'Images' at google and often get pictures too. Take a look here for some useful info.

Hope this helped.
