: : A local nursery is recommending lorapateluna for my yard but I can't find anything on it in my books. It is an evergreen, deep burgundy in full fun, similar to barberry in shape and color without the thorns. Does anyone have one, where did they put it (sun/shade)?

: I have never heard of this. Are you sure that the local nursery is giving you the correct name/spelling?

I questioned them further, they said it was a fairly new shrub (4 yrs here) from china, sometimes referred to as a plum delight. I guess I will find out, I planted it yesterday.
