Hi Donna,
Your new shrub is called loropetalum and it's a chinese shrub/small tree to about 12'. You can do a search at www.google.com and get lots of helpful info. You can also click on 'Images' while there and often get pictures as well. Didn't it come with a plant tag? Here's one site that should be helpful. Oh, it prefers part sun or shifting shade.
