: Do all shrubs flower? I've been looking for something green that doesn't flower to balance out some other things I want to plant.

: But I don't know any names or how to find what I am looking for. A few people have recommended
: virnibrum(sp?), but I don't like them.

: I want something free forming that doesn't necessarily have to be pruned. Nothing over 5 to 6 tall. No thorny branches or anything like that. And foliage of a dark green. Just something plain and boring.

Hi Lin,
Some shrubs have flowers that are so tiny as to not be noticed. You don't say your hardiness zone or the sun conditions, so it would be hard to make recommendations. Did you want evergreen? If so, look into confiers or some type of holly.
