: Starting a landscape project for a city lot 170x130 on a corner. 1928 Tudor style home. I looking for information regarding period plantings. Lilacs, peonies, hostas, mock orange, tobacco plant are a few things already here. Any input greatly appreciated or resorce information. Thanks!!! Grow Green!!!

I would suggest doing a search at www.google.com and put in quotes with a plus sign like this: "heirloom plants" + "design" or just search with "heirloom plants". You could also get books from the library about old world style gardens and heirloom plants and design.

Here's a site you might find interesting and helpful.
Good luck,
Newt
