Overwintering (indoors) - Pennisetum Rubrum -Fountain Grass?

Not sure if I have the name completely correct, but, I bought one plant in the spring and split it into 5. Each one grew very well and are all spectacular now. I was wondering if I could bring these into my garage to overwinter? And if so, could I 'stuff' them all into one container - temporarily for the winter?
I'd appreciate any input.
