: I have a lovely Walnut Tree that is being over run by Ivy. I have tried cutting the vines from ground level to a metre high and this has not worked. Can anyone help me with the best way to get rid of the Ivy and restore the Walnut Tree to its former glory? Hi Gordon, You will have to cut the ivy at the base and dig out the roots. Once the top of the vines die, you can pull them off the tree. You will have to dig out any new sprouts as you see them. Good luck, |
