dog-proof plants

we just recently got a puppy, and she's managed to kill most of our grass and plants in the backyard. (she especially likes eating orchids) are there any kinds of plants that dogs can not kill, if so what are they? is there anything else we can do to "dog-proof" our backyard plants? ~kat
