Posted by Leroy Wunsch on April 28, 2003 at 06:02:14: Would like to know what kind of Dwarf Shrubs that can be planted that would be deer proof and also survive the winter. I am located in the hill country in north central Texas where our temperatures can get down to 10 degrees in the winter. Last spring we planted eight dwarf oleander's on the northeast side of the house, and they did not make it through the winter. Would appreciate hearing from anyone that could suggest what kind of flowering shrub I could plant in this same location that would stand the winters, and be deer proof. Thank You
