Hi Steph,

Your first shrub still looks like a viburnum to me. The second is probably a forsythia if the blooms appeared before the leaves. Take a look at this picture.

If this is it, when you are ready to prune it, cut the oldest stems to the ground and let the remaining branches cascade in a fountain shape.
