We had a few of these at home when I was young. I still remember not only the sprouts here and there, but the SPROUTS when we cut one down.

I will say one thing - if someone lives in an area with zero snowfall, the petal drop of the Black Locust may be one of the closest special effects to snow you can get in a warm climate.

I always thought it was beautiful to watch the petals flutter down in the wind.
