Most issues seem to be due to watering and other factors. I'd just concentrate of keeping it moist, mulched - and look at it every few weeks for visible insects. 2 summers ago, I had more than 60% of the leaves turn yellow and die on my Japanese Snowbell a week after I brought it home from the nursery.
