A friend of mine has a similar problem. Their trees of interest are in a tighly regulated community and block their view of the ocean. These are bigger trees; probably 50 feet or more tall They can't cut them down or cut a band of bark or even spray the whole tree is agent orange. Let me know if you have any more ideas. I thought about late night watering with salt water but I don't know how effective that would be.
