: You made me smile!  :-)  I didn't realize that I would be missed!  Thank you so much.  It's like this, we're renovating a house and garden.  In two weeks I leave for Peru to visit my son.  He lives there and has a conference here in the States next week and will come here then.  He's bringing some Peruvian friends!  Yikes!  The Honey Do list does get longer and longer.  I'll be gone for 3 1/2 months and my mil will be here with my hubby for 3 weeks after I leave.  So, the mess in the laundry room must be cleaned up so she can get in there with her walker, the faucets need to be installed on the bathroom sinks so she'll have hot water (the company from Peru too!), there's the shade to hang in the guest room, the new smoke detector in the kitchen and I seem to have an appointment to go somewhere every day!!!  Oh, by the way, I am a she!  :-)  My hubby makes a great dinner, but I'm the one with the tools.  He assists when I need the muscle that I'm missing.

: By the way, I'm not a moder*tor here or anywhere actually.  I often think of doing so, but my life gets crazy sometimes and I can often just drop out for a long time.  I tend to visit this forum more than most because I can usually find an answer to the questions and I like the fact that I get a notice when there's a response.  That's how I knew you were looking for me.  I did go back and read your post and that's how I realized that you thought I was a 'he'.  Most people associate the name Newt with the Gingrich guy, but my 'handle' came from my yellow lab.  She's named after a little girl in the movie 'Aliens' who survived all alone on a planet crawling with these large bug things.  My poor Newt lived all alone in a basement for months before she came to live with me.  Both of them are blonde, but I'm not!

: How was your landscape board meeting?  I was surprised to hear that the temps have been so hot there.  I live in Maryland and we've had unusually temperate weather.  I was just outside pruning our serviceberry and was quite comfortable.  There's even a nice breeze.  Just a few more outdoor chores before I leave and my hubby will have to handle the rest.  He's joining me in Peru in November.  We'll have a house sitter for the pets and such.  I will have computer access in Peru, so I will probably be on the boards more than I am right now.  I'll try and send you a picture or two on your site if you like.  They have some interesting plant material there.  Is that you on your site, third picture down on the right?
