The tree itself is approx. 5 feet tall, but it's branches have grown so long, they are 7 to 8 feet spread on the ground. They are closing in on other shrubs. Is this normal for Weeping Cherry Trees? Last year it did the same. I trimmed the branches back. It seems the branches grow longer than the tree grows tall. An answers, please? : Thanks, Bob Bob, this is normal. That is the look these trees have. The only thing u can do is keep pruning!
