: I was given a 1-2ft high Red Chinese Maple in a large pot about a year ago and in the last few months the red leaves have almost completely turned green. They are also dying at the edges and turning brown. Is there any way I can help them to revert back to their original colour and health?

Hi Jo,
Some maples will turn red in spring, revert to green in the summer and red again in fall. Each variety is different. If you have the cultivar name, you can research it at www.google.com. The browning could be caused by several things like too much sun, not enough water or take a look here.

Best of luck,
