Gloxinia won't die

: So I have this super healthy gloxinia. 

: The tag says that the gloxinia will naturally go through a dormant period when the foliage dies off after it's done blooming.  Then I'm supposed to put it in a closet and stop watering it for 2 months.  When it starts to grow again, I should get it out and start watering and fertilizing again so it will bloom.

: This darn thing has finished blooming but isn't going through any stinkin' dormant period.  It's not dying off.  It's still growing new foliage.  So should I shove it in a closet anyway and stop watering?  Or should I keep waiting for it to die?
