Posted by Theresa on December 14, 2002 at 10:39:12: So I have this super healthy gloxinia. The tag says that the gloxinia will naturally go through a dormant period when the foliage dies off after it's done blooming. Then I'm supposed to put it in a closet and stop watering it for 2 months. When it starts to grow again, I should get it out and start watering and fertilizing again so it will bloom. This darn thing has finished blooming but isn't going through any stinkin' dormant period. It's not dying off. It's still growing new foliage. So should I shove it in a closet anyway and stop watering? Or should I keep waiting for it to die?
