Another source suggested it might be called Albizzia Saman, a relative of the Cassia and Mimosa. This tree drips water from its own limbs onto its own roots at dusk every evening, it was not a very large tree at that time, but Im not sure how big they grow. Any information for name, naturalized area, nursery that would know, etc. would be greatly appriciated : These are also known as Monkeypod Tree or samanea saman. Their Hawaiian name is 'ohai. They are tropical : I have seeds available for sale, but I can't ship plants. : Aloha, : Maren in Hawaii. Hi, I have a tree which sprouted from a seed brought from Mexico. It looks like a mimosa, and the seed pod is shaped like a human ear. The trees in Mexico were quite large and were growing next to a lake in a volcanic crater. This tree (ours is only about 20 feet tall) drips water during the day (at least). I'd appreciate any further information about this tree. I can send digital photos of the leaves (which close up at night). Robert in Laredo, Texas
