I use to put it in the basement and give it a little water now and then wait until spring and bring it upstairs in the light and feed it miracle gro. I now live in Florida and have an abundant amount of hibiscus trees. Doubles, singles. I just love them.
You may want to look into Rose of Sharon They can stay outside and come in many colors the bloom is the same as the hibiscus.
