My potted hibiscus plants kept turning yellow and dying, but soil tests did NOT show any nitrogen deficiency. Then a local master garderner suggested I stop using Miracle-Gro and use Osmocote slow-release 14-14-14 fertilizer. Now my plants are dark green and healthy again!
