Elephant Ear Help Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I just made a post ten minutes ago and it never showed up on the board.So here goes again.My elephant ear has finlly started to come up.I was so excited.Everyone I've talk to around here say they can't grow them.But I have A secret and that is great people like you to help me along the way.Its about 4in. tall now.The leaves havea little yellow & dark color around the edges.I mirical-growed them, sprayed bug killer and water once a week.Do I need to water more or is something else going on? Any answer soon as possible would be great.I determined this baby is going to live! I don't know what zone I'm in but my zip is 24588.
