Hibiscus tree drooping

I have a 3 year old purple hibsicus tree in my front garden which has grown well, lasted through winters, and leafed out and bloomed beautifully each year. However, last year and this year both, when the flowers begin blooming, the branches of the tree can't seem to hold the weight and bend almost to the ground. Last year, we pruned it back, but it seems to be even weaker this year. Any advice on what to do?
