: I was very interested to read the short feature on swedes and it reminded me of a query my young nephew asked of me only the other day.

: He's a big 'fan' of an Irish pop group called the Divine Comedy who put out a record called 'Sweden' some years ago - my nephew tells me it is a very difficult song to play on a musical instrument because no-one has yet been able to work out how it is played. But that's by the by.

: The question he asked me was this: is there was any connection between Sweden (the country) and a swede (the vegetable).

: Funnily enough, something tells me I might be going to live in Sweden. Please don't ask me why!
