I have four plants that were very healthy a couple of weeks ago; now, however, the leaves on two of them are going yellow and brittle near the root end of the vine; the remainder of the plant is healthy looking except that some of the tendrils are drying up. The plant does have sufficient water and the other two plants a couple of feet away look fine. I did an earlier soil test about 5 weeks ago and it was fine. No sign of insect infestation or damage. The plants have had some male flowers and only a couple of female flowers, but no melons have formed yet. I should also mention that when the leaves first did this I cut them off to prevent any spreading; the plants were OK for about a week but it is now coming back. The spread is quite rapid: about 4 leaves per day are turning color. This doesn't look good. Help !
