Hello everyone! I have been an avid gardener for the past few years and this year took on the task of growing cucumbers from seed.... So far so good :) Haven't gotten any veggies yet from the plants but starting to get flowers. I've taken on the jobs of landscaping my parkway and front yard along with getting the veggie patch in order and making a raised bed for my herbs... Next year comes landscaping the back yard. Anyhow, I'm from Chicago and want to tackle the growing of blueberries, strawberries and potatoes but I don't know a darn thing about them!

I'm dealing with a Jersey blueberry bush, June Bearing All Star # 1 strawberries and Red Nordland Seed Potatoes.... which were purchased from Menards..

I heard that blueberries like an acidic soil and that coffee ground and peat can help make soil acidic... What else can help growth?? It came in a box started with roots and soil already... The strawberries are packed the same way.. Can you train strawberries to climb like cucumbers? What requirements do they need?? How about potatoes?? I heard that they can't be put in the same place as strawberries were the year before.... So, I have no idea what I am doing here. So please feel free to e-mail me at crazycakes@ameritech.net and post ideas and stuff here. Thanks ALOT!!

Megan
