: I've had success growing cucumbers but the last two years they've suffered from bacteria wilt and die just as they are about to go to fruit. I'm told my soil is probably contaminated and should use a bleach solution to decontaminate but I'm not sure how much or how to do it. Can anyone help?

Hi Charlene,

Your wilt is probably caused by the cucumber beetle.

If you don't want to use toxic pesticides, take a look at www.gardensalive.com

Good luck,
