: I've been seeing a woodchuck or 2 in my yard all summer but they have not bothered my garden until now. They seem to like the cucumber leaves - especially the young ones. Any suggestions on how to stop them? - I won't poison them and I don't really want to relocate them. I just want to deter them.

Your choices really are pretty limted to learning how to cook woodchuck, or hav-a-heart trap and relocating them. By the time you treat your garden enough to make it unpalatable to 'chuck' odds is you won't want to eat there either.
