Thanks No you cannot plant corn in one row, even with 2 rows you will not get good pollination. Instead of planting one or two long rows plant at least 5-6 short rows you will be much happier with the results. I have done as little as 5 rows 8 ft long, I did hand pollinate some of the outside ears but had good results overall.
