zuccini blossoms falling off

Hi, My zuc male blossoms were falling of and I wasn't getting female blossems at all ,so I have gotten out to the garden early to pollenate them and after 4 or so days the started producing female blossoms and zucs. I don't know if that is what the problems was or not , but I know that I had zucs for supper last evening! Thanks for being there
