: My garden is doing great this year until the last week or so. I've been seeing a woodchuck or 2 in my yard all summer but they have not bothered my garden until now. They seem to like the cucumber leaves - especially the young ones. Any suggestions on how to stop them? - I won't poison them and I don't really want to relocate them. I just want to deter them. Thanks I used to have that problem too, but now the woodchuck, just looks and me with those sad eyes, cause he cant get over the 3 foot fence i put up. He wont try digging under cause it will take too long and I will see the hole and stop it. So my suggestion, hopefully your garden isn't too big, is too fence him out. He wont go after too many things. Actually all I in fenced were my beans, the rest of the garden is wide open to him. He got my melons last year, so this year...............no Melons. Rich
