Hi betty it's called Blossom end rot. I typed this very long response to you, but I got bumped and it was gone, so in case it happens again, I will just say this, Contact me at Gardensrus60@aol.com, and I will send you some useful links to this problem and how to rectify it. Put Black rot on tomato's in the subject line, so I dont think it's spam and delete it accidently.
