Hi Donna, I have a few rows of broccolii too and I have always cut before the flowers show up. I just cut them off when I think they look like supermarket broccolli (only not as big). It's tasted great so far so I think I'm cutting it at the right time. Good luck though, I have had a hard time getting enough broccolli all at once and I have 12 plants.
