This year a $10,000 prize is offered for the largest pumpkin entered at the CLARENCE NY site in what has been called the "Olympics of Gardening". The winning pumpkin will be flown to Seegaben (Zurich) SWITZERLAND for the Jucker Obstbau Seegraben Festival. Prizes for top 5 pumpkins are huge -

• 2nd $5,000
• 3rd $3,000
• 4th and 5th $1,000

Since 1983 growers have competed in the annual worldwide weigh-off to determine the world's largest pumpkin. The first 1,000 lber. was grown in 1996 making the $50,000 awarded at clarence the largest prize ever paid for a single pumpkin! Other classes for vegetable and flowers make it a world class show - tallest sunflower, biggest tomato, longest groud, etc.
