: I just purchased a house and finally able to get out in the yard and do some yard work. the problem is the yard hasn't been taken care of in over ten years. I have wisteria vines growing all over on the tree's, under the ground, around and on the fence. I have never seen such large bark on a vine. Most of the vines we cut , some we pulled from the ground if we could. I was thinking of useing a rototiller to turn over the soil and crush what was left under the ground, would this work or would the vines just mangle up in the tiller?

Hi Peconec,

Congratulations on your new home. I wouldn't suggest using a roto tiller as the bits of roots could sprout and cause more problems. You're going to have to dig it out!

Good luck,
Newt
