: I've been told that things like weed and feed or broad leaf weed killer will also harm my flowers but tons of dandelions are among our flowers in our front yard. I'm totaly new at this. I've never owned a home before and have no lawn care experance beyond mowing. Are there any products out there I can buy that will kill the dandelions and not harm my other flowers? You could use Round-up. If you use a sprayer, or spray bottle - for a thick planting area - don't pump up the pressure hard. It keeps it from misting to fine. Better bigger droplets with low pressure. Mist drifts.
Roundup is not a problem in the soil.
Lawn weed killer can work, but most have 3 chemicals inside, and one of them stays and moves in the soil for quite a while.
Back to Roundup, If you mix it in a container, wear rubber gloves and use a sponge to dip and wipe the Roundup on leaves. That's an option.
