: I live in la california and i have a slope garden , down towards the house. I have been rearanging my garden and now have a spot that is 9 feet by 13 feet and i would love to have something like grass but something more easy to take care of. I still would wan't to be able to sit and walk on it. We also have a dog. would love some recomendations.

Hi Charlotte,

You'll need to know your hardiness zone.

You don't say if it's sun or shade, but I've found that dwarf mondo grass looks like grass, can take light foot traffic and won't run all over the place. You might also want to take a look around this site.

Good luck,
