Rhodies wintering in a barrel?

: Hey Guys,
: I recently put a couple rhodies in a couple whiskey barrels and I was wondering they will be okay through the winter. I am in Oregon in a zone 6.  Also, Im not in the rainy part of Oregon, we do get alot of sun.  I also planted a 7' Mugho pine in a barrel...will it make is as well?  Thanks for the help!
