Weeds in Liriope

: i have well established liriope that comes back every year but the weeds are getting worse & worse and are very difficult to pull because they are so deep in the plants.  i do heavily mulch the areas surrounding each plant.  can i spray any weed killer in the liriope that will kill the weeds and grass but not harm the liriope?  thanks
