: : i have well established liriope that comes back every year but the weeds are getting worse & worse and are very difficult to pull because they are so deep in the plants.  i do heavily mulch the areas surrounding each plant.  can i spray any weed killer in the liriope that will kill the weeds and grass but not harm the liriope?  thanks

: Not that I know of.  My suggestion is to dig up each clump and either separate them so you can get to the weeds or cut them and discard the weediest parts.  

: I realize this might be a lot of work, but you could do a section at a time.  I too have a lot of lirope and sometimes I feel like I have too much when I have to cut it back in the spring.
