: hi, I'm not too sure how welcomed this question will be , but I am at a wits end- I'm looking to doing extra part time work in peoples gardens? How much is a good rate to quote per hour for the bare essentials, such as lawn mowing, pulling of weeds, and general clean up? -clueless

Hi Lyndsey,

I would say that would depend on the area you live in. Maybe you could call a local college and ask what the students charge for such a service. Another option would be to call a few companies that do that type of work and ask their rates.

Good luck,
Newt
