: I'm hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction. 

: My yard is currently the most hideous piece of land that ever existed. Every time I pull into my driveway, I cringe. 

: I had a landscaper come in, and he promised me that he could make my yard look fabulous for no less than $3,500. 

: Although I would gladly give him the money, I can't help thinking that I could do some of the things on my own.. I was leafing through Breck's catalog when I thought I could do a year-round bulb garden to edge my driveway and maybe do something in the back, but other than daffodils and tulips, my knowledge is next to nil. 

: I was searching the web for pre-fab bulb garden plans but I'm not having a good go at it. Can somebody recommend a reference that details plans like that? I'm even open to perrenials as opposed to bulbs - as long as I don't have to replant every year!!
