  • is it safe to eat herbs after applying pesticides?

i planted Sweet Basil on soil that had been treated with anti-termite chemicals (poisonous).

are the basil leaves safe to eat? or how long should I wait before i can be sure theyre safe to eat?

    thanks!!

    Hi Nichols,

It would be best to know just what was applied to the soil, but I wouldn't eat any of the leaves.* Many chemicals stay in the soil for months or even years.

NO Because the pestecides kills the neturints in the herbs.
