  • please help with identification....

I have a shrub that is about 7 feet tall, with blooms very similar to a butterfly bush.* The blooms are blue but the leaves on the shrub look nothing like a butterfly bush.* There are stems with 5 to 7 leaves, much like a spider bush.* Does anyone have any idea?

I* can't wait to see it.* I was thinking about it just about an hour ago trying to think what it could be.

I'm including the picture you sent me for id.

I think your shrub is actually a tree called Vitex aka Chaste tree.

Newt, you have hit the nail on the head.* I looked at the sites you provided and this is exactly what I have.* Thank you very much for your help!* My next step now that I know what it is, is to move it to a more suitable location.*

            Thanks again, you're wonderful!
