| This is a spreading, deciduous small tree or shrub with softly fuzzy branches and shoots. Grows to 30 feet tall and wide. Leaves are pinnately compound to 12 inches long with 9 to 15 ovate to oblong, shiny, deep green leaflets, which turn brilliant red in the fall. Yellowish-green flowers are in upright pyramidal panicles to 5 inches long. Fruit is yellowish-brown, round, waxy. Withstands poor, exposed conditions and little water. Fantastic fall color. Bold texture, especially with fall color, a nice accent. Native to E. Asia. |
