| 'Numex Bailey Piquin' is a hot pepper generally ready for harvest 85 days after sowing. These are small peppers, generally 1/2" wide and 1" long. They turn bright red upon ripening, and are as hot as a habanero. They are good dried and ground as a spice, or fresh in salsa. May take a bit longer to germinate than other peppers, but the plants mature quickly. Also known as the bird pepper. When selecting varieties, it is important that you look for a variety that has TM in the name or that is specified as being tobacco mosaic resistant. |
