|Mounding, compact, highly branched, spineless, deciduous shrub. Grows to 3 to 6 feet tall and wide. Bright green leaves are slightly hairy, round to ovate, 3 to 5 lobed, toothed and heart-shaped at the bases, to 2 inches in length. Greenish-yellow, bell-shaped flowers are held in upright racemes, 1 1/2 inch in length, and are followed by rounded, deep red fruit, 1/4 inch across. A native to northern Europe and Siberia.
